Custom issues missing from drop down, importing from FogBugz On Demand

I am using the wizard to import from ForgBugs On Demand into JIRA.  No where does it let me choose the "Issue Type Scheme", instead it just gives me the default one.  Then when it comes to mapping the issue types over from FogBugz, I don't have access to the custom issue fields I made in JIRA which match the issue types from FogBugz.  How do I get access to the issue labels I made when importing?  It seems like I only have access to those issue types after importing.  Updating the issues with the custom issue types after importing seems like an odd way to do it.
