Crowd using Google directory - Authentication fails

When I login an application using Crowd for authentication. Crowd add Google as a directory. Login failed and see below log, repeat each time I was trying to login.

2013-01-30 15:01:30,940 http-18095-4 ERROR [pl.craftware.b.a] scexxxx.mygbiz.com User probably does not exist. Since user with only API permissions do not return EntityDoesNotExist error, we do it manually.

Crowd is via Apache Reverse Proxy and it is using Self-Signed SSL. Will that cause this problem?
