I have a project to implement JIRA in 3 tier environments (Dev, Test & Prod) and then synchronize the data across the environments. Is this possible? My initial understanding was that only issues could be synchronized and not the entire database.
Three systems, yes, but they will need to use three separate independant databases.
Any "synchronisation" will have to be a process of "stop target, restore backup into it, start target, re-index".
You could do other forms of sync, but most people with dev/test/live setups use regular refreshes, rather than a sync.
