Confluence Mobile Server App drops Error 403 disallowed_useragent using OpenID Plugin and GSuite

Kai Mosebach July 31, 2018

The error is similar to :

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/40591090/403-error-thats-an-error-error-disallowed-useragent

The Useragent of the App is :

"Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 11_3 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Mobile/15E216 AtlassianMobileApp

Is there a way to override the UserAgent String to access the google OAuth Login with our Server?

Hi,

I found the a similar question on the OpenID Authentication for Confluence vendor's issue tracker: Google OAuth 2.0 disallowed_useragent

I am moving your question to the Marketplace collection of the Community so the vendor will be more likely to see it.

Thanks,

Ann

Dear Ann,

this issue on github was raised by me, since it is currently not clear if the solution is on the side of atlassian (i.e. by settings an accepted WebClient) or by the plugin vendor, hence i kindly request to bring the issue back here,

Thanks & Best,

Kai

Hi Kai,

Thank you for reporting the error, I have raised a ticket in our public bug tracker for this issue: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-56214.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to override the UserAgent string of the app, so I cannot offer you a workaround for this issue at this time. We will need to update the app(s) to conform to Google's requirements for OAuth https://developers.googleblog.com/2016/08/modernizing-oauth-interactions-in-native-apps.html. We expect to work on this as a high priority issue in the upcoming months and you are welcome to track the ticket linked above for our progress.

Best regards,

-Sven

Hi,

The issue is also present when using OAuth in Jira Mobile apps.

Best regards

Gradlon

@Sven Laanela: most probably another ticket in the jira corner makes sense here
