Cant find story when creating sub task

When I attempt to search and select a story to assign my subtask to, I get a list of only tasks where, when creating previous sub-tasks, I was able to see and select stories.jira_no_story.PNGAs you can see from the screenshot, I should be able to see the story labeled "UHS-07" but it does not appear to be populating.

Thank you for the assistance.

What happens when you proceed with the key "UHS-07"? It maynot show it in the list if the story was not accessed recently. You should still be able to proceed with any valid keys.

"UHS-07", when entered, returns "The linked issue key "UHS-07" does not exist". If I use the key "enhancemnt-##" I can assign the subtask to the correct story.

Your response indicates that the search is always based on view history. Is there a way to change that?
