Can you change the hierarchy within the tickets on the map?

We have already produced a user story map - the backbone of the map consists of groups of capabilities. Each capability group breaks down into capabilities and each capability then breaks down into features. A capability is equivalent to an epic. So each column is in effect a list of Epics.

We prioritise the capability first before breaking them down into their component features. Once we have a list of features, we then prioritise those features before selecting them for a sprint.

Does this mean your product won't work with us or can you suggest an alternative means of achieving this?

You could use the attribute "Linked issues" which you might to link in with your capabilities Tickets as own hierarchy level.
