Can we limit permission for specific groups to be able to plan time in Tempo?

Dear Atlassian Support,

We're looking into Tempo if only team leaders can plan time for their team members. This is to control our resource planning. Is it possible?

Hi Kittiya,

the permissions to plan depends on the Tempo Product you are uisng.

If you are using Tempo Timesheets:
 To give only Team lead (or users with Approve Timesheet permission) the permission to plan time for their Team, you need to check the "Enable Time Planning" in the Tempo Global configuration. Please take a look at  https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO0712/Planning+Options for more information.

If you are using Tempo Planner:
Being Team lead includes the permission to "Plan Time" in Tempo Planner. Other users can be added individually or by JIRa-group. (https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEAMS020/Team+Permissions)

Please note that the "Plan Time" permission in the Team permissions is currently only used in Tempo Planner and does not give permissions in Tempo Timesheets.
