Can Stride Connect to Bitbucket Server?

William Frank February 13, 2018

I see there is an add-on for Bitbucket but I am not sure if it would also connect to Bitbucket Server.  It doesn't let you select the add-on for Server but I was wondering if that was a function of Stride being Cloud only (so obviously the App would always be Cloud no matter which Bitbucket It was connecting to).

Hi William,

Right now, Stride does not integrate with Atlassian server products. That app will be coming this summer, but it's not something we have right now.

Any update on the timeline for Bitbucket? Also when will Jira, Confluence and Bamboo be integrated?

@bjmac, see my workaround for Bitbucket Server below. I'm pretty sure, "Unified Webhooks" app can be used to integrate Bamboo as well.

BTW, "Slack Connector for Jira Server" is already available:

Here's a good workaround for the happy users of Bitbucket Server:

  1. Install "Slack notifications plugin" to Bitbucket Server (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213042/slack-notifications-plugin)
  2. Install "Unified Webhooks for Stride" as an app to Stride (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1218774/unified-webhooks-for-stride)
  3. Configure new Incoming Webhook with Slack-style format
  4. Setup global webhook url in "Slack notifications plugin" (can be changed on repository level as well)

It looks not perfect (crappy text as every Slack notification, to be honest), but it really works and works very fast ;-)
