Can I use startOfDay() with commented() JQL query

I'm using the commented() JQL function (link) to find issues that not have been commented for 1 day.

My current query looks like this:  status = "In Progress" AND issuefunction not in commented("after -1d")

But really, I want to use the "startOfDay()" function instead of "-1d" because if an issue is commented at 5pm on Tuesday, I want it to appear in the query results at 9am on Wednesday. Using the -1d means it won't show up until after 5pm on Tuesday.

I could change the query to -8h or -10h but startOfDay seems better. I can't figure out how to do it.

Hmm, maybe the answer is to use -0d to get the beginning of the day?

AFAIK, this is not possible - commented() is using JqlDateSupport and there is not precision rounding for single date.
