Can I get my ScriptRunner production license running on my non-prod instance?

I am in need of testing a few set ups and scripts for the ScriptRunner add-on in our JIRA non-prod instance. However, that instance has an expired trial license and I cannot do anything there anymore.

Is there a way for me to extend the trial period for that instance or can I simply copy the add-on's license from prod to non-prod to get it working again?

I believe that if you go to my.atlassian.com and look at your production license, there will be a link below it to generate a development license.
