CORS Support/Setting for Insight REST API? Edited

I'm attempting to pull Insight data (via the REST API) into another web page. I have done this with Jira data on the same page w/o issue but am receiving the following error when trying to pull Insight data:

No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource

Seems like a CORS issue but I would have expected the Insight REST API CORS properties to inherit from Jira. Is that not the case and if so, what's the workaround?

I have whitelisted my calling domain as well as tested the exact same code with both a jira REST API call and an Insight REST Api call. Jira works fine, Insight does not.

Basically, I think the Insight REST API needs to respect the Jira REST API whitelist that's setup in Jira administration section.
