BigPicture for customer communication?

Cher Sheldon July 5, 2016

I am process manager at a software development company for advertising material logistics. We currently face challenges with our biggest customer, as we do not have a standardized platform to communicate our development progress.

We would like to send to our customer once a week the necessary information means: version, status, progress (in % would also be possible), date of start, date of publication, description, (+ „additional information“ would be desirable).

Currently we cannot export this data into an Excel sheet since JIRA Releases does not offer this function. If the data was exported in an Excel Sheet, this would allow not only us but also our customer to add „additional information“. Hence, we are looking for a solution and saw in the screenshots that an Excel export function was embedded in BigPicture.

Do you therefore think that JIRA Big Picture offers a solution for our problem?

Please give me feedback, if you need further explanation to better understand the issue.

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi,

As for your use case, BigPicture features a robust exporting mechanism, which allows you to export literally any data, along with aggregates and a clear structure, into Excel and MS Project. You can even group your tasks by their respective Releases to achieve what you searched for in JIRA but was not provided by Atlassian just yet.
