Behaviours plugin affected by latency/timeout?

Conor McCooey May 26, 2015

Hi,

On our JIRA instance we have some validation scripts implemented using the Behaviours plugin. Mostly we use it to restrict field options when editing (ie. allow only certain priorities to be selected for certain projects)

What we have discovered recently is that the Behaviours plugin does not work for our offshore developers/testers. No restrictions are being applied.

When the same users come to the main office and log into JIRA the Behaviours plugin works as expected, and the scripts are firing and restricting/validating as appropriate.

The users log into our JIRA instance in exactly the same manner, regardless of location. All access is via our corporate desktop (Citrix based), browser versions are the same (IE 9 - our corporate browser, javascript enabled and locked down).

Could there be some sort of timeout issue here, whereby the Behaviours plugin scripts gets ignored if network connectivity is a little slow?

I am struggling to see what the discrepancy is between our office and the offshore site that would cause the Behaviours scripts to be disregarded.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Conor

Is the URL exactly the same in both cases? Can you hit F12 and look for errors in the browser console.
