Adobe is stopping Flash support at the end of 2020

Eilif Johannsen October 16, 2017

Hi,

Adobe (Chrome) have announced that they will stop supporting Flash at the end of 2020, meaning that the Balsamiq plugin will stop working.

Is there a timeline for moving to HTML5 or what is the plan ?

Hi Eilif,

While I don't work for Balsamiq or Atlassian, I am a Balsamiq server customer. The server plugin just received a big update a few weeks ago that moved from Flash to HTML5. On top of being a lot snappier (yay no Flash), there were some great feature improvements too. From what I gather from the Server announcements, it shouldn't be long before the editor update is available in Cloud.

Cheers,
Daniel

Hi Daniel

That's good to hear.

I'll keep my eyes open for news on this.
