we are trying to unify project handling for our Jira users and project administrators. Can we somehow assure for new projects that the same issue scheme, workflow and screens are used somehow? It looks like each projects creates their own version of those instead which creates quite some overhead for us.

This will help you to create projects that has schemes similar to an existing project.
