Adding custom stop and start condition in agreement type

johaho February 11, 2013

Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to add customized stort/stop conditions in the defined aggreement types. In the documentation https://confluence.valiantys.com/display/VSLA/Configuration+Guide#ConfigurationGuide-Configureanagreementtype and in my JIRA I only see the default ones Issue assignee/resolution is set as selectable.

My scenario is:

I want a SLA field to be started/stopped when the issue is in a certain state. Using a generic event seems too general for my setup ... is there any best practice for that. Using the default events "Issue updated", etc. doesn't fit the exact constraints.

Hi Johannes,

If you want to start / stop a SLA when you are in a specific state, the best thing is to create some custom events, and fire them in the appropriate transitions of your workflows(in the Post-Function). See here in JIRA documentation : https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA052/Adding+a+Custom+Event.</span<>>

Your custom events will then appear in the list in VertygoSLA and you will be able to start / stop VertygoSLA timers when you want.

Is it ok for you?
