A way in WBS Gantt-Chart to automatically calculate duration from original estimate?

For WBS Gantt-chart, is there a way to have duration automatically calculated as Start Date + Original Estimate?

WBS Gantt-Chart does not save Duration value, but the value equals "End Date" minus "Start Date". In order to realize your request, "End Date" has to equal "Start Date" plus "Original Estimate" instead. To do so within WBS Gantt-Chart, you have to use "Schedule Job" function with Java knowledge.  https://rssupport.atlassian.net/wiki/display/WGCE0803/Schedule+Settings

As mentioned above, it is difficult to implement. Please compare the outcome and the complexity, then consider if it is right choice.

More than three years later, is it still the sole workaround? Any solution for Cloud version?
