Is it necessary to renew zephyr scale server in the second year after paying for it? Can't you continue to use it if you don't renew it?
Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).
You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You canupgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).
If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.
If you do not renew a Server product (Atlassian or marketplace), you are still eligible to use the product however you lose access to support and maintenance (updates). If you then need an update (to address a bug fix or similar), you used to have to pay full price again (unless it was within 60 days of your license expiring I think it was), however with the sunsetting of server products (https://www.atlassian.com/migration/faqs#general) - you now cannot buy a new license for anything server, so if you let this server license expire now, and then needed to upgrade in say 4 months, you would not be able to buy a new license and you could not renew either.
Basically, you can chose not to renew and keep using the product, but you're adding a significant amount of risk by doing so, especially if the addon is business critical.
