"Send mail" as "New Action" in project rule within "Project Automation"

Hi all,

I miss a functionality which we had in our previuos JIRA version.  When I create a project rule "when: Issue created" I want to trigger an email as new action. But there are no notification actions available. Any ideas?

You might try to go there via global rules versus from within the project. You'll need to be a Jira Admin/Site Admin, go to Jira Settings > System > Automation Rules (left-hand menu).

Hi John, thx for your reply. Problem still is that I cannot create an action "Send Mail" neither in the project rules nor the global rules. Any further idea?

Are you on Server or Jira Cloud? If Server, you might just have the Lite version. You would need the full version to do the email.
