I have installed Assets & Inventory Plugin and Service Desk in Jira. I am trying to get it to display a list from Inventory in a service desk screen so that the user can choose the machine from a list. I have created a custom field in Service Desk using the JIP Multi Select, and added this field to the Service Desk screens, but the field is blank and holds no content when accessed in Service Desk although there is content in the Assets & Inventory plugin. Don't know what else to try - there is no apparent configuration for the JIP custom field. Documentation is completely silent on how to add Assets & Inventory plugin content to Service Desk.

If you use Insight plugin, customers don't even need to choose a product, you can map the computers with a user.
I would recommend to take a look of that plugin.
