graphity: Possible to update drawing via Confluence REST API?

I'd like to automate the update of a workflow drawing in graphity as the workflow (in graphml format) is automatically updated every x minutes. I'd like to update via the Confluence REST API the attachment (graphml format) which then should be shown via the Graphity plugin.

Any idea how that can be done?

I realize this is an old post, but I have a similar situation, at a slower update cycle requirement though.
Was there any solution or suggestion available ?
