error output could not be translated from the native locale to utf-8

rams April 29, 2013

I checked the commit acceptance plugin "Version Control Commit Rules" as

- The log message must contain a valid JIRA issue key(s)

- All issues referenced in the log message must be assigned to the committer.

And then, when I try to commit to SVn with unassigned jira key, there is an error message "error output could not be translated from the native locale to utf-8".

Please help me, if is there any solution for this error.

Try the Commit Policy Plugin for JIRA.

This is the modern add-on for the same problem, and we invested major efforts to handle all types of encoding issues, with Git/SVN/Mercurial on Win/Linux. These types of errors should not occur with that add-on.

Hi there,

At the first look, it seems an issue more related to SVN itself than with JIRA or commit acceptance plugin.

I found this article and apparently it's an issue converting filenames with non-ASCII characters. There is a possible fix in this comment.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
