can WBS exported excel be imported back to WBS gantt chart after modification?

I exported an project from WBS gantt to excel format, how can I import it back after modification? I exported a mmp file from WBS gantt, and later I want to import this mmp file back to WBS gantt, this is what I get:

Can Anyone help me solve this??

Hi Alicia,

Sorry, currently WGC plugin doesn't have an import back function for that. Excel file exported from Gantt screen cannot be imported back to Gantt.
You might consider using the Jira original function of Export/Import CSV If you would like to export tasks and import back from Excel. 
And the import error you got was probably caused by selecting the wrong file. MS Import is a function to import tasks from Microsoft Project. Please try importing an MPP file and if you this still issues please raise a support ticket

The answer seems to be valid still 04/2022 .. at least didn't find yet any excel import action.

Precisely. You can still import CSV files from Excel using Jira's original function.

You can use WBS Gantt-Chart, however, to import/export MS Projects files, which are not natively supported by Jira.
