Hello, I know this question might sound a bit off, but is there a way I can auto-populate a JIRA Service Desk custom field with the JSD ticket number? I'm trying to get the JSD ticket number in a custom field, so when link the JSD ticket to another JIRA project that ticket number shows up in the same custom field in another JIRA project.

You should be able to do that with Automation For Jira.
Create a Rule for Issue Created
Then do a New Action for Edit Issue
Select the custom field
In the open box type in: {{issue.key}}
