Zephyr Squad: Cannot View Defect in Traceability Matrix Due to Issue Type?

I have created a new issue type called "kickback." When I create a defect from the test case, I change the issue type to kickback. However, when I view the forward traceability matrix, no defects appear. Is it because of the issue type? What issue type must defects be to appear here in this matrix?

If this is a limitation, this will be a bummer for me and I guess I would need to to create another specific report to view. Both my test cases and my kickback issue types are linked to a story.
