Zephyr : CSV Import : Unintelligible Errors on Attempted Import

Jon M. September 23, 2019

Part I:
When attempting to import from a CSV, the following, extremely unhelpful error occurs:
ZephyrCSVImportFail.png
Here's the thing...this is the first row of my CSV:

URL,Needed Action(s),Redirect Destination

None of this matches the gobbledygook, provided by this error.

What in the sam-hill is this actually saying?!

Part II:
Why in the world, can we not import test steps into test cases (or at a minimum find the documentation easily?!?)?!

Hi @Jon M.

It seems like a file format issue.

Take a look at the Zephyr docs for more information on the capabilities of their import.

This was not from that import tool, but rather here:

When you go to: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/importing-data-from-csv-861253680.html
It does breakdown (rather at length) how 'exact' your CSV needs to be...
However, the issue here is the garbage error. They should be able to read the initial line and serve the user a more appropriate error. As currently it's nonsensical and not user-friendly at all.
