ZAPI/Zephyr and Jenkins Nightly Build Information

Abhinav Nallagundla December 19, 2013

Thanks for releasing ZAPI integration, I wanted to know how does one add nightly build tests execution for each testcycle? Right now I notice testcycle is associated with only one build. How can I keep track of results for each nightly build from jenkins?

My workflow would be

1) Jenkins runs automation tests

2) Results are added to Functional Testcycle for each nightly build

Any thoughts on how to achieve this?

nallagun,

The way you would want to do this would be to create the cycle and executions just before the execution update phase after the automation has been run.

Meaning, after your Jenkins run has finished, you would use ZAPI to create the cycle(s), assign the testcases to the cycle(s), and finally update the execution based on the just-completed testing run from Jenkins.

This would give you a new cycle every night where you can go back and review the results of that night's progress.

Daniel
