You must provide an epic for every new story or task you create

JRodney Estrada March 26, 2021

Hi All,

When I try to create a Task or Sub-Task in a Scrum project, I get "You must provide an epic for every new story or task you create." I don't get that message when I do the same thing in a Scrum project in my dev instance. Just wondering why the difference and if it's possible to disable the 'Epic' requirement.

As always very much appreicated!

Hey Rodney - It's probably a Validator on the Create Transition in the workflow for that project.

Or it could be in the Field Configuration used by that Project.

Hey @John Funk , You know I usually don't throw around the term "genius" but it works here, genius! I completely forgot about validators. Hours of failed attempts avoided. Very much appreciated!
