What are parameters? Can you share a use case?

I am trying to figure out how I can use parameters in Confluence cloud workflows. For examaple, I need an executive approval for more than $5k bills. If it is under that, the workflow needs one less approval.

I’m a team member at Comalatech.

Parameters are configurable value references that the creator of the workflow can use in configurable fields of the workflow as the approver group of an approval.

For example, let’s say you want to configure a group of several members for the Sales department approval (for example, @Sales@) and a different one for the Marketing department (@Mkt@) approval on a specific document. You could assign each one of the groups for the specific cases and purposes.
