We have updated our Jira up to 7.3.x and the Wildcards Search plugin doesn't work with this version. Is it planed to release a new version of the plugin which works with new Jira Release?

It's recommended that you check the supported versions of all plugins before upgrading, just FYI. The Plugin Manager has a link at the button which checks the supported versions of all plugins, and can facilitate the process.

You also need to actually label your Question with the proper tag, so the plugin vendor can find it. I've done this for you, in this case. You might want to open an issue on the vendors tracker to get a more direct answer.
