Okay, Jira NOOB here. We are on the hosted platform using the next-gen project. Here is what we want to do:
When a Request Type "email" comes in, we have a very restricted workflow and have set up a "remind people to update empty fields" rule requiring them to choose an assignee. Next, I would like to automate the popup of the "Change Issue Type" window or something similar. Meaning, all email tickets have to be changed to some other ticket type. I've only been successful in getting them to change to a specific type, not a user choice. How can I accomplish this?
