Hi there,
In Tempo "Timesheet Approval" process when a user submits his timesheet for approval, he needs to select reviewer from a dropdown who will approve or reject his timesheet. If the user doesnt select any reviewer the default option that is "pick one" gets selected. Now this submitted timesheet goes in "waiting for approval" status and is pending with nobody. I would like to know with whom this timesheet is pending? How to get back this timesheet into "open" status and where to write this validation which will take care that if "pick one" is selected from the "select reviewer"dropdown then the timesheet should throw an error saying, "please select a valid reviewer".
Please help.
Thank You!
Hi Ravi,
when a user does not choose a reviewer, no email will be sent to inform about the approval request. The Team lead of all teams that the user is a member of will see the "Waiting for approval" status in the Approval report (Team overview, Reports, Timesheet Approvals) and can approve or reject the Timesheet. The Team member can not reopen his own timesheet, he needs to contact the Team lead to do so by rejecting the timesheet.
In the current version, it is only possible to set a default reviewer (in User Timesheet-> Cogwheel in header-> User Preferences) but it is not possible to make this field mandatory. You can create a feature request for this in our Tempo Timesheets project (https://tempoplugin.jira.com/browse/TT) and it will be evaluated by Tempo management.
Kind regards,
Susanne (Tempo)
