Use script field on JSD customer portal

Why I cannot add script fields on JSD customer portal? Is it a setting I have to set or it is not possible to use script fields on portal?

Hi Anna, Daniel,

Don't know if you finally found a solution but I think what you're looking for can be achieve using Behaviours :

I managed to initialize several fields in a customer portal using that solution.

You cannot add script fields to the portal page. Scripted fields are generally supposed to take info from the current issue context and the request portals are normally used for creating in which there will be no data for it to compute.

I don't really understand this.
There is a real need to be able to add scripted fields in portal pages.

For example, I would like to have people selecting from a group list. That groups being filtered in order to display only the necessary/useful groups for that page.
I can't do that. 
If I need this, I've (I don't do this) copy the groups name into a "Select lists" instead which is a non-sense from a global management point of view.

Scripted Fields require data to pull from. If they are starting a new ticket in the portal there is no data to pull from yet

Database pickers and issue pickers can currently be used on the portal page. 




when is the Groovy script executed in the custom field?

How does it work for the other Group selection native field?

It should be possible to execute the script in the scripted field at display time no?

Thanks for the link but this does not help provide me a solution nor an idea if either this will be possible in the future and when/which release.

Can you guys from Adaptavist check with Service Desk or Atlassian directly?
