The power of AI: automatic issue summary generation

Recently, my SaaSJet team announced the release of a powerful and functional Chrome extension TaskCompose for Jira Cloud, which we talked about in more detail in this article, Create tasks from Google Chrome in all Jira Projects.

TaskCompose allows you to create informative tasks from any browser tab and in any Jira project (Jira Software, Jira Work Management, Jira Service Management, Jira Product Discovery).

So, it's time to announce new features that redefine the tasking process in Jira. And speed it up 20 times. Here we go!

Automatic generation of task summary from its description

Everything ingenious is simple. But the implementation of this genius is quite complicated. However, our developers have managed to implement AI in the Chrome browser extension. When creating an issue, you can enter a description of the task, and the application will generate a short and accurate summary. A demonstration of the functionality is shown in the gif below.

Save a draft of a task that you didn't create

So, this is another nice thing for your convenience. It happens that when creating a task, you were distracted somewhere and accidentally refreshed the page or simply closed the tab. As a result, you could have been filling in an issue for an extended period and, at one point, lose everything. It's painful, unpleasant, and makes you angry 😡. We have foreseen such situations; therefore, the extension saves the last content you entered in the drafts. If you did not create a task, but the fields were filled in, the next time you enter the app, just click the bell in the upper right corner and restore your last actions.

So...instead of a conclusion

So, we briefly informed you about our innovations. We announce that the following features that are on the way will be revolutionary in the field of task management. So, install the extension now so you don't miss the most exciting things. And write your impressions and expectations in the comments. We are waiting for you in the SaaSJet team.
