Hey everyone,
We are currently struggling with our Xray configuration.
we want to create a Workflow status where we can no longer adjust the test except "create defects" and write comments.
We want to run the test in the test execution and evaulate whether they are "pass", "fail" , etc. After this step we want to transfere the test execution into a new status where we can only create defects and write comments.
Through this intermediate step, we want to prevent subsequent changes to the results.
I hope you can help us with this problem
Best regards,
Nik
Hi Nik - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
What do you mean by "we want to prevent subsequent changes to the results"? Does that mean no fields are editable? Does that mean that no transitions are available?
Can you give use more details to the exact process?
Hi John -thanks for the quick answer!
I just mean that in this workflow status, you should no longer be able to change the test. This includes the fields, but also the "Executing Status". You should only be able to create defects or write comments.
I hope that this explains the problem.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
You are not going to be able to prevent users from updating all fields when a card moves to a particular status. You can prevent transitions from happening to a new status based on the value of a field, but not whether the fields are editable or not.

In short, you can't leave the Execution Defects editable while making the rest in the Test Execution unchangeable?

You will probably have to contact the Xray support folks directly.
