Task Duration, Effort in Gantt Mode

Looking to be able to adjust and display values in the gant for project task duration, effort in days.

 

So with other PPM tools like Clarity, Clarizen, Project, I am able to set the task duration and effort.  Within BigPicture, I know I can set the task length by adjusting the slides.  However, any time field that I bring in will not update when I adjust the sliders.  Additionally, I cannot find a field in Jira that if I adjust, the end date and duration would change.   

There are several tutorials with video that appear out of date based on current BigPicture version.   However I am using the local server (not cloud) version.

Figured it out myself.  The documentation on this product is subpar and out of date.  Please update
