TFS4JIRA counterpart ticket link

I have installed TFS4Jira in my jira instance and created a profile to sync between jira and azure tickets, everything works good , but isn't there an option so that the tickets can show their counterpart tickets link on them , like in exalate , where it provides the counterpart ticket link in the Issue glance

HI.

Yes, there is. I presume you are using TFS4JIRA Cloud NAtive to sync. There is a possibility to store a link to the counterpart in a custom field in each environment.

Here is what needs to be done:

  1. please provide me your tenant ID using https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SUPPORT/pages/153452728/TFS4JIRA+Cloud+Native+How+to+obtain+Tenant+ID
    1. having this ID I will enable both direction link creation for you
  2. create custom fields on JIRA and ADO (type: text single line)
  3. wait for my confirmation that functionality is enabled
  4. in MAPPINGS->FIELDS please map:
    1. Issue Key <-> ADO custom field
    2. Jira custom field <-> ID in ADO

Now on JIRa issue creation or ADO issue creation, you will see links to counterparts in custom fields.

If you wish we can schedule a support call to discuss this further, please simply send your request to support@appfire.com and ask for Damian Kilkowski.
