Steps to "Test Case" issue type in synapseRT?

Robert Nyberg Nov 11, 2013

E.g. like you can do with the Zephyr plugin?

Or how do you handle multistep test cases in synapseRT?

We have a similar question. We are evaluating synapseRT 6 with JIRA 6 and trying to figure out how to set up our projects, workflows, etc. There seems to be some gaps in the documentation.

Yes the documentation is full of gaps..

We are using Jira 5 with synapseRT, we have our configuration pretty much setup already. Except for test steps for issuetype Test Case. We hare read in the wiki that you are supposed to be able to do this with custom fields. But we cannot find any test step component in the list of custom fields.

The only test step component we can see is marked with Zephyr, and we believe this was added when we installed the trial of Zephyr - a licence we did not purchase. We went for synapseRT!

Is there a way to do this in synapseRT and custom fields? How? This is important for our project.
