Will the plugin work without Atlassian extended support for server installations?
Yes, plugin work as you pay yearly cost for maintenance/support/update after license expiry plugin doesn't get any new update nor any support from Atlassian team. You need to migarte to Data Center or Cloud before 2024. Anything happen to JIRA after license expiry Atlassian won't provide any support.
Will the plugin work in 2024 after Atlassian stops supporting server version installations worldwide?
Same answer as above.
If we don’t renew support for the plugin, how’ll this affect the content already created with its help?
Content remains in JIRA DB but if something happens to jira like not working,not loading in this case you wont get support from Atlassain until you purchase DC or Cloud license.
Please explain about it what will happen with your decision?
My suggestion is to migrate Server to DC or Server to Cloud before Atlassian server support deadline.
Get in touch with Atlassian Licensing team, to get more related to pricing.

I would recommend you plan your migration to data center and then purchase the plugin once you migrated. You can use trial licenses for now until you fully purchase the plugin in data center.
In most cases, licenses cannot be converted unless you can talk to the vendor directly and get a new license from them.
