Setting OAuth 2.0 in JIRA

Gurjit June 8, 2020

I am banging my head against the wall to set up the authentication between JIRA and Salesforce, I didn't get any documentation to create a connected app in JIRA  cloud to generate client Id and Secret the only way I got to generate the same is to click on oAuth credential and currently it is in beta and doesn't provide all the access, can any one please help me to generate client id and secret to set up the oAuth 2 and even with these client id and secret I am still not able to authenticate.

Hello @Gurjit ,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

If I understand correctly you are trying to integrate Jira with Salesforce but I am not sure if you are trying to build your own connect add-on in order to do so or if you are trying to use one of the many already available on our marketplace:

Can you kindly provide more details on what you are trying to achieve and, if possible,  either point to the documentation or provide the steps you are following?

Cheers,
Dario
