Hi Madhukara,

I am not well versed in using scriptrunner in this way, but I understand that you want to be able to set the duedate via a groovy script.  In order to do that, it looks like you first need to import some other classes that can make these updates.  Check out

These are two examples of scripts that are calling the issueManager.updateIssues as a means to save these changes to the issues in question.
