Risk Register by Project Balm: Use dashboard gadget similarly to project risk matrix.

KCraft February 7, 2024

We're currently using Risk Register by Project Balm. We enjoy the functionality of the project risk register setup, viewing all issues by location on the matrix, or viewing the register. We have a need to view ALL risks across our program at once and have found this possible using the Risk Matrix dashboard gadget. Unfortunately, this gadget is lacking in some of the same features on a standard project risk register.

Is there a way to implement these same features in the dashboard gadget or to create a risk register/matrix that takes in risks across ALL projects?

Hello, can you confirm whether you are using the Cloud or Data Center version of Risk Register?

Which features do you need on the dashboard gadget that are available on the standard project risk register?

There are two key features we'd like to see in the dashboard gadget:

  • Options to toggle between the risk matrix/risk register
  • Ability to select a cell on the risk matrix and see all risks populating this cell as a list beside the matrix (currently, when you select the cell you are redirected to an issue search that matches the matrix's row and column criteria)

Thanks for this additional information. Unfortunately, I don't have a good solution for you at the moment. The ability to see the risk register as a gadget is already in our backlog, though I don't have a delivery date I can share. We will consider adding your other suggestion (risk list beside the matrix) to our product roadmap.

Thank you for your quick replies!

We'd certainly love to see these updates to the Risk Register apps! For now, though, I may have to find a workaround that can accomplish what we need.
