Reporting Capabilities of QARAJ at a Glance

Reporting is an essential step towards effective test management, because test reports paint the real picture when it comes to test performance. QA professionals today need test reporting functionality to make test performance analysis easy and accurate. After all, test reports are a great way to figure out the areas of improvements, where the team can work on in order to increase the efficiency of the testing process.

The new age test management tools have advanced reporting capabilities to generate detailed graphical reports for analysis of test performance. QARA Enterprise is an example of an advanced test management tool with automated reports and this reporting functionality is all the more useful when you have an add-on that integrates the test management capabilities of QARA Enterprise with Jira. QARAJ is the add-on that seamlessly integrates the Jira interface with the QARA Enterprise platform.

QARAJ is a Jira add-on that combines Jira with QARA Enterprise, a test automation platform, and extends Jira's test management capabilities. The reporting feature of QARAJ is important for tracking the test process' progress. It is critical for the efficient execution of test cases since it helps the QA team to receive a comprehensive idea of the intricacies of the process of test case execution, daily progress, obstacles encountered, and test script adjustments required. It aids in the timely and efficient planning and execution of test cases.

QARAJ tracks all the parameters of test case execution and generates the following 4 types of reports.

  1. Test Metrics Report
  2. Test Metrics Report – Tabular Format
  3. Test Summary Report
  4. Traceability Report

1] Test Metrics Report

The Test Metrics report organises the execution list, daily test case execution progress, test case executions by tester, test case status, and dashboard view, among other things. Each of these variables is described in detail below.

Execution List: Showcases the details of the test cases executed as part of a specific project.

Progress of Daily Test Case Execution: The report that showcases the progress of the test cases on a daily basis.

Test Case executed by QA: Provides details about how many test cases have been executed by a QA professional.

Test Case Status: Provides test case status and the quantity of test cases under each circumstance, such as 'To Do', 'In Progress,' and so on.

Dashboard View: Provides the state of test cases in percentile form on a graph, based on the condition in which they are (e.g., 'To Do,' 'In Progress,' etc.).

2] Test Metrics Report – Tabular Format

Unlike the previous Test Metrics report, which displayed data in the form of graphs and charts, this format presents the information in the form of a table. In a tabular format, it shows Execution on, Total executions, Pass, Fail, Unexecuted, Blocked, NA, and other information.

3] Test Case Summary Report

A Test Case Summary report presents an organised view of all test cases for a project, with total test cases produced, total test cases unexecuted, total test cases executed, and total executions split down. This view summarises information about the test case repository at a single glance.

4] Traceability Report

A two-way end-to-end traceability report can be generated with QARAJ. This is a great way to keep track of testing progress at each stage of a software release cycle. Traceability is traced from requirements to test cases, executions, and defects, and vice versa.

QARAJ is a Jira add-on whose reporting feature is meant to help QA professionals manage test case executions more efficiently and discover areas for improvement in the test execution process so that they may expand test coverage and deliver a high-quality product in a short period of time.
