Performance really slow when using Bauer Story Map Addon

When I include more than stories in my storymap, such as bugs and enhancements, performance is really slow.  Is there a limit to how many issues you can display in the story map, before it becomes unusable?

We decided to show always the entire map with out the need to page it. This can make the map sometimes slow if you are working with huge result sets. We recommend to narrow your result set by using jql. The perfermence depends on the resources of your client computer. With up to 500 stories we gained good and fast results.  And it works up to 1000 stories at a glance.
