People are correctly notified about changes in Metadata fields per email.
Problem: the links to the original Confluence page in this mail do sometimes not work. When the page title is represented by the viewpage.action (e.g. because of special characters in the page title), the metadata notification mails look like this:
https://xxx.xxx.xxx/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=610732010?src=email
This is an invalid adress because of the two "?" parameters.
It looks like the mail template just adds "?src=email" to any page reference - not considering the viewpage.action case.
How could this topic be adressed?
Hello Thomas,
Sorry to keep you waiting, we just recently saw your question.
Does the page title happen to contain a special character? If that's the case, you are affected by an existing bug. The bug will be fixed in one of the next releases.
If you haven't done so already, we recommend adding yourself as a watcher for Metadata for Confluence Data Center/Server in the Atlassian Marketplace. This way you will be notified automatically when a new version is released. Simply click "Watch app" here.
As an immediate workaround you can use the "view page" link at the bottom of the email to open the Confluence page.
Feel free to contact us directly via our customer portal if you have any questions about our app in the future. We'll be sure to get back to you right away!
Regards
Almuth
