Marketplace Partner Spotlight: Getint.io

For this month's partner spotlight, we're featuring Getint.io! We caught up with co-founders Jacek Wizmur and Radek Wasiuk about getting started on Marketplace, and the road ahead.

Atlassian: How was your company started?

Getint.io: We always wanted to create software that would solve real challenges, that could be business critical for companies using it. Both of us co-founders worked previously in the Atlassian ecosystem – so it was a no-brainer for us to establish a company within the ecosystem, which we think is a great place to do business. I (Jacek) had a chance to talk with a lot of Atlassian User Groups around the world, attend plenty of Atlassian Summits, and conduct interviews with various Atlassian Partners before we got started. That feedback was crucial to create the best tools for Jira integrations (with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Asana, and more) as we learned what the customers needed. We also studied the competitors in order to develop a fresh solution from scratch to be effective, scalable, easy to use but also very advanced.

We didn’t know if we would succeed, we were third, sometimes the fourth tool. There is strong competition out there, but now we have 1,000+ installations and the biggest brands as our customers: Skoda Auto, Capgemini, Deloitte, BMW, and more. That speaks for itself. Starting a business was one of the best decisions in our life. Each new customer makes us really happy and proves that we’re doing the right thing.

Atlassian: What's your role at your company?

Radek: Co-Founder, mastermind, chief programmer.
Jacek: Co-Founder. My main job is to handle marketing and sales. I also work with Atlassian Partners and am responsible for looking for ways to scale the business.

Atlassian: What's your favorite thing about working there? What’s your favorite team ritual?

Getint.io: It’s no longer B2B or B2C – it’s a human business! I’m really happy that from day one our approach was to establish relations with customers and help them succeed. It helps a lot. We're some of the only ones offering customizations for our products to meet even the most complicated integration or migration scenarios, which has helped us win several times. Integrations are business critical, and people want to feel secure, understood, and taken care of.

Our ritual? We love football! So we often meet to watch games together. The funny anecdote is that we’re both competitive and very focused on achieving the best results in what we do. Before starting the company, we were playing FIFA together and we were raising stakes each time we played – first it started with who is paying for lunch and ended with running a company together.

Atlassian: How does your team come up with ideas for new apps?

Getint.io: Our product is driven by feedback we get from our customers – we grow because our customers need us to grow. So the new ideas often come from the clients themselves. Recent example? Freshdesk/Freshservice integration. This app was born thanks to the Retail Assist and a customer that was using our integration for Jira ServiceNow. They liked it so much they wanted to scale to something we didn’t have, so we agreed on a custom development and now the new app is there to help them and other companies too.

Atlassian: Think back to when you were developing your flagship app – did you see yourself here now? What do you think has been the secret to your success so far?

Getint.io: We kind of did… Since we were working in the ecosystem before establishing the company, we knew what we could expect. Our company grew significantly during COVID. We spotted an opportunity to focus on growth while there were no distractions.

What was the secret? Caring, being friendly, understanding that the success of our customers is our success. Sounds like an obvious thing but it really isn’t. Try the support of different tools across all the web, and you’ll often see that the product is… as is. And often, the help is not the help you would expect. We knew that solutions for enterprises needed to be sold individually, by establishing relations and caring for the end success. Additionally, we offer a platform – not just one-to-one integration, so it means that it’s easy to scale if the company needs it.

Atlassian: Tell us about your most popular app. Why do customers love it?

Getint.io: It’s Azure DevOps Jira integration. It brings different departments together (within one company or company and a contractor). Customers love it because it simply does the job. It’s easy to set up, has advanced scripting for challenging cases, extensive logs for investigating possible errors in the setup quickly, and can work fully behind the firewall which is an important requirement for many Jira DC customers.

Additionally, customers appreciate the personalized approach, consulting, and custom development possibilities – all that for the best price on the Marketplace (we have better prices than the competitors and we help migrate from other tools to us).

Atlassian: Do you have any new apps or projects you want us to know about?

Getint.io: We do have some new integrations in mind – Salesforce, BMC Remedy, ClickUp, and maybe Notion. We want to be the go-to tool for Jira related integrations. We believe this ecosystem is amazing.
