Manual test steps are overwritten by the Gherkin BDD scripts in Zephyr Scale - Why?

I created the test cases with test steps in Zephyr Scale then I built the BDD Gherkin scripts using the BDD-Gherkin and entered my BDD Scripts. I click the Save button, everything was saved.  When I navigated away to other areas and returned back, the manual test steps were gone only the BDD Gherkin scripts remained.  It looked like the manual scripts were overwritten by the new BDD scripts. This is a huge problem for us.  Please advice?
