Links in Jira Cloud Slack notifications being rewritten by integration

When we create a new branch environment the link is shared in a Jira comment as follows:


https://deploy-preview-234--dr-website-stage.netlify.app/ 


In the Jira Cloud notification the link is edited so the '--' is now '-~':

https://deploy-preview-234-~dr-website-stage.netlify.app/

Any idea why the URL is being rewritten?

And FYI clicking this link from within Slack desktop on Mac causes the app to crash. But since the URL is incorrect that's not the core problem.
