I have added a sort > reorder manually automation to the jira structure but anytime i try to rearrange the labels it moves back to its original location.  I cant figure out why they wont stick to where I want them to be.

Ie there are labels for Q4-2018, Q1-2019 etc and the dont arrange in order.

Hello,

There may be a few reasons for that behavior. Most common is that there is another sorter there, preventing manual reordering. Also, people often try to move issues up or down the hierarchy, while manual reordering is actually working within a level.

These two are accompanied by different error messages though. Can you check what error message is appearing there?

If there is no error message at all, then there is a chance that someone is reversing the order or there may be some obscure bug at work. In these cases we would have to take a look at the logs, to be sure what is going on and would ask you to engage our support at support@almwork.com

Hi Egor :)

I added quick transformation for manual sorting and it is working. When I click on manual sorting I can move items as I want, when i turn off manual transformation, items get back to query set up (what is ok), when i click manual again it remembers my set up.

BUT :) it is visible only for me, other users can also move items on manual as they wish but everyone see only their changes.

How can i save it or share it that whenever i made change- it is visible on manual for everyone else?

Hello @Tamara Samujło

The quick transformations only change the structure locally in your browser. This allows multiple users to adjust the same structure to their own needs without interfering with each other.

If you want the custom order of items to be displayed to all users, you need to use the Manual Reordering Sort generator instead of the transformation.

I hope this helps. If you need further assistance or if you have other questions about Structure, please contact us directly at our support portal.

Hello @Tamara Samujlo

If the Manual reordering generator is added, issues shouldn't change their position in the structure on their own. It's unclear what exactly is happening on your instance.

If you have Jira Data Center, please reach out to us directly at our support portal and we'll look into this matter.

Best regards,

Hi Guys

my colleague has a problem with manual sort generator that Jira anyway changes order of items (seems randomly) - what may be the reason?
