Hi, we are trying to create an automation rule that allows us to keep two issues exactly in sync. When a field is updated on one issue, the linked issue will also have that same update. Is there an easy way to do this with automation?
The only way I can think of is creating a rule for each possible field that could be updated, but that sounds insane. Is there a way to handle all of those possible "if" within one rule? I guess it could be a huge If/Else?
Hi David,
You are correct, you would need to update each field individually. You wouldn't need to have a use if/else though.
You could simply have an issue updated trigger, then a related issues branch to find the rule you want to copy the values to. Then on that branch and edit issue action, that copied the fields you wanted from the trigger issue.
Hope that helps,
Scott.
